The width of the trough is closely related to the discharge speed and discharge amount of the overflow product , if the trough is wide, the overflow discharge speed is quick , and thus the possibility of coarse particles flow with the overflow drain is greater. But on the other hand, wider the trough is, the ore subsidence area is larger, the subsidence is easier. Therefore, The trough width is not closely related to the grading effect but the processing capability of the classifier. The trough is wide, the processing capacity is large; Conversely, the processing capacity is small. So the classifier slot width should be compatible with the processing ability of the grinding machine.
